Why are you plugging in the cable after the camcorder has started? Last edited by zerowalker; 13th Jul 2014 at 16:19. And nothing happens in Device Manager. The camera is detected fine with the correct model number, I can control the camera, play, stop, rewind etc, but there is no video or sound being captured. Verify you have an "IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controller". CPU? Hope this is correct!
- Tried on a different computer with a different cable and still nothing.
- it was about the cheapest minidv cam of it's time.
- On the disc, look for a folder called "i386" and open it.

I've got a selection of these now, and again it's very hit and miss (more miss, to be honest). Windv Sometimes there is also a socket internally on the IEEE 1394 card. - Windows XP comes with OHCI Firewire drivers, so drivers are not normally needed. Also out of interest what editing software are you using to import your material?
Win XP recognizes the card, it recognizes the camera, and I was successfully able to capture video with Sony Vegas Studio.

Ieee 1394 Driver Overstay as a minor in USA.
please keep shooting.... Should I trust a website which breaks when I use a complex password? Gavin, programs I'm trying to use are AVS video Recorder and Real Player and some program that came with the Ieee 1394 card from ulead. this content I don't know the camera and I'm a Mac person but....
