Note: the english node is accessible via it's alias if i type the url address manually in the location bar in the browser. I tried it once, and it does not worked for me as I expected it should be working.. In both cases (Language enabled prior to the migration and Language NOT enabled before or after the migration) the aliases were set to English and worked I'm leaving as Needs work, why is it required?

You choosen wrong way :) When you updated your page which linked to URL then URL alias's language will be switched from "All languages" to page language again - so you create a new menu (admin/build/menu/add) 2. Do you think I need to change my settings in "admin/settings/language/i18n"? (see attachment). The problem arises when I have pages that I don't want included in a menu, so I leave the "provide a menu link" box unchecked. Making the i18nmenu module work as we would like to, with breaking the functional design of Drupal 6 core is not an acceptable solution.
for me I consider this a bug ...

The only problem is that users do not understand all the problems with aliasing and why it works as it works. URL aliases operate using "language" and "language neutral" terms while translation sequence operate using "language", "default language" and "language neutral". The solution to that is easy, but you have to do it in code, using Pathauto's hook_pathauto_alias_alter(). this content I think they are related with nginx configuration, because I'm experiencing this problems since I migrated the site from an apache server to an nginx server.

On our site, since we have not set up an alias for “Our test page” it’s actual URL is “node/5”.
