From there clear the cache and the data from both the tabs provided at the bottom of the page. You can change this preference below. When I would attempt to open the stock camera app, the app would close with the error message "camera is unable to initialize". I have tried other apps but there are no options to do so. see here

It seems that would have fixed the problem if it was software related, have you tried another camera APP from the Play Store such as Camera Zoom FX and see if
