Dell Inspiron 700m Microphone Not Working

If it does have a built in Mic you can still use an external as the built in wont give you the best quality. I tried 3 different mics and none of them made the party on other side hear my voice. Then I found what was the problem! There are a few things to try before assuming it is the motherboard. Source
